Event: Yr 10 masterclass – Thursday, 18th January
Our Year 10 Food and Nutrition students enjoyed a Masterclass with a visiting chef as part of their programme of study.
Martin Fordham of the CH&Fs course at Colchester institute came along to Tabor to deliver his popular roadshow, which involved learning new food preparation techniques and styling.
He prepared a fresh salmon, showed the students how to portion a chicken, all the while giving an informative and entertaining talk about the Hospitality industry.
Students were challenged to identify exotic herbs and spices and were treated to a freshly prepared chicken stir-fry and chocolate brownies as part of the event. We look forward to him visiting next year.
